I was nervous when I heard there are new owners but the chicken is just as delicious! The homemade mashed potatoes are 1000x better than the old ones. My meal came in a plastic container instead of styrofoam, as it had in the past- very cool!

Good To Go southern style fried Fish and Chicken with Gravy Place.
Ordered 2 piece Fish Dinner that comes with Coleslaw , Bread , Fries and Friend Ordered 3 Piece chicken dinner that comes with same sides . Ordered a gravy as well which costed us $17.

The fish and chips were good. The fish was well battered and crispy. The fries were nothing special; the serving size also seemed a bit small. The chicken was okay it was a little too salty for my taste and the bread roll was hard and cold. It would have been nice if the bread roll was warmed up. Ordered fried oysters which weren't bad and chicken gizzards which I would not recommend getting from here. The texture and flavor was not like ones I've enjoyed in the past.

I've eaten at Mary's for over two decades. In the past the food was ok, a little bland, but good enough, close enough, and in my neighborhood so I frequented it often. Now that it has been taken over by a new owner and has new staff, I'm loving the new menu. I mean they kept the old menu but they've begun adding items. For ex. They are now making their own mashed potatoes. OMG THEY ARE SO GOOD!! Homemade potatoes? At a chicken place? The old ones we're the instant potatoes. Personally, I don't even like potatoes, but these taste like the ones my mom used to make. So, Kudos to the cook!
Can't wait for the poutine! I bet it will be amazing. (Inside sources say the gravy is now HOMEMADE!)
Oh and the cheesesteak hoagies are sooooo good!
